About RUGIS
What is RUGIS?
RUGIS is the Rutgers “chapter” of the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS).
Rutgers is a member of the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS), a non-profit organization that creates and supports communities of practice for GIScience research, education, and policy endeavors in higher education and with allied institutions. RUGIS meets once a semester to discuss matters relating to UCGIS initiatives, and gives people from different units in the university an opportunity to share and discuss GIS related information and experiences.
The UCGIS delegates from Rutgers are:
- Åsa Rennermalm, Department of Geography
- David Tulloch, Department of Landscape Architecture
When is the next RUGIS meeting?
RUGIS meets two times a year, once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. Please see the events page for more information.
All are welcome to attend.
Please contact David Tulloch if you would like to become a RUGIS member and added to the mailing list.
